Michelle is a passionate storyteller who is constantly finding new ways to feed her soul and help others along the way. As a WCNC NBC reporter since December 2006 she has received honors from the Associated Press, Edward R. Murrow, Radio and Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas and multiple Emmy nominations. She is now part time at the station and she is rockin' her new company Embolden Creative - a video production and creative services company that focuses on helping businesses and nonprofits tell their stories. She is also a regular contributor to People magazine and a freelance writer who's work is often seen around Charlotte and across the country. When she's not crazy busy telling stories...she enjoys her books on the beach and her cute pup!

Dr. Amy Combs is a licensed psychologist located in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with eating and body image concerns. She worked for several years at the nationally recognized Center for Eating Disorders near Baltimore, MD after receiving her doctoral degree.
You'll often find her snow-skiing, riding around town or cheering on her favorite team at the weekend game!

Steve Dunn is a licensed attorney and the owner of Steve Dunn Mediation where he serves as a mediator of complex employment and business disputes. Steve's daughter, Clara, is an enthusiastic Girls Rock camper and a member of the House Band. Their family lives in Plaza Midwood and loves to support the local arts scene.

KELLY FINLEY
Kelly is the Founder and Executive Director of Girls Rock Charlotte...and feels like one of the luckiest women in the Queen City! A warm-hearted rebel who often got into trouble for "talking too much" in school, Kelly knows all too well how important it is for kids to find a positive, affirming and inspiring outlet for their voice.
"There's such synergy in my life. Everything I do - as a mom, teaching Women's and Gender Studies, an activist, friend and proud feminist - is centered on empowering girls, women and everyone. My energy and passion for Girls Rock Charlotte is boundless and positive because I am surrounded by so many talented, passionate and supportive people. I'll be rockin' this gig for many years to come."

Michelle is the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Executive for Consumer & Small Business with Bank of America, as well as the co-chair of Bank of America's LGBT Executive Council and more. She joined Bank of America in 2009 from Stonewall, the UK's national LGBT charity, where she was manager of Workplace Programs.
"I joined the board to be part of our work empowering all girls to find and use their voice and build their confidence to realize they can do anything they set their mind and talents, too."

Jennifer is the Executive Director of Global Marketing for Sealed Air's Product Care division, leading content marketing, marketing operations, and communications. She is the chief storyteller and message architect, creating methods to reach B2B and B2C audiences experiencing fulfillment challenges. Prior to joining Sealed Air, Jennifer led global communications for CEB (now Gartner), and was a published arts, travel, and culture writer for national publications including Variety and Mental Floss.

SARAH KUHANECK
Sarah represents the GRC volunteer perspective in the board. She is currently Director of People Services for Continental Group companies in Canada, the US and Mexico. Sarah is a veteran who also brings 20+ year of HR experience including succession management and leadership development. She loves sharing her passion for music with campers and house band players.

JENNIFER MCNALLY
Jennifer is a Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Analyst at Duke Energy in Charlotte. Jennifer's daughter is a past camper who loved the connections she made at Girls Rock Charlotte. She loves the influence that Girls Rock has on her daughter, it truly builds her up. Nothing makes Jennifer happier than running, music festivals, and camping with her family.

Bianca Taylor is a Field Engineer for Microsoft and stationed in Charlotte, NC. She is a UNC Charlotte graduate that loves opportunities to be involved and give back to the community. She is a passionate music lover, adventure enthusiast , foodie, and a parent of two rescue dogs.

Lisa Slattery Walker is a professor of sociology at UNC Charlotte. Her research focuses on small group interaction, nonverbal behaviors, identity, emotions, gender, and expectations. She is a graduate of the Arts & Science Council’s Cultural Leadership Training program and has previously served on the board of CAST. Lisa lives in Stallings with her husband, John, a realtor, and their cat Bonnie. She writes mystery novels set in North Carolina, the Cobb Sisters Mysteries.
"Girls Rock is important to me because it not only provides a safe space for girls to develop into themselves, but is also allows them to reimagine who that might be."

Camille is a Senior Engineer and Head of Non-Profit Partnerships for DPR Construction in Charlotte. She graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Masters in Real Estate Development and Finance. On the other side, Camille teaches spinning at the Down YMCA and is currently getting her Yoga Certification through Asheville Yoga Center and specializing in trauma based yoga therapy and breathwork. For fun, she enjoys local restaurants, open water swimming and road cycling.

Laura is passionate about engaging with young girls and empowering them through mentoring, music, civic engagement and overall talent development.

Jenny is currently a Vice President – Service Delivery Consultant within Bank of America’s Global Human Resources line of business. Jenny serves as the Co-Chair for Bank of America’s LGBT Pride Carolinas group, on the Board of Directors for Time Out Youth and has held various roles within other nonprofit organizations. Jenny lives in Charlotte, NC with her wife Sarah, and their energetic rescue pit bull, Ringo. They enjoy traveling, and spending time with family and friends in their free time.
"I believe that Girls Rock is critical for all girls and gender diverse youth to find their voice and be empowered to be advocates for their community. I support organizations who foster and cultivate an environment that includes and accepts transgender and gender non-conforming youth, encouraging their participation in the camp, and as adult volunteers. I believe in building the confidence of all girls and gender non-conforming youth."

Crystal is a former journalist who owns From The Hip Communications, a boutique PR/marketing company that specializes in social media and content marketing.

HANNAH LEVINSON
"Girls Rock Charlotte is the kind of outlet I wish I had in middle and high school," Hannah admits. "It's a terrific combination of art, fun and learning--with growth and empowerment at its root. I love being around and supporting strong women and girls; it lets me feed off and fuel a room (or auditorium) full of positive energy."

Hannah is a storysharer and strategist. She works and plays in communications, digital marketing, social media, arts production, fund and strategic development, teaching and community outreach. By day, Hannah is the Communications Director for Social Venture Partners Charlotte (a philanthropic organization that supports nonprofits and communities in the Charlotte area), a freelance communications consultant and a strategic planner. By night, she's a film and theatre producer and a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum. Hannah's version of "rocking out" includes running, swimming, playing yoga, traveling...and a good cuppa joe.
